Firstly - Welcome Our Reusable Keepsake Crackers

Unlike traditional Christmas crackers that are pulled apart and discarded, your reusable keepsake cracker has been specially designed to be enjoyed year after year, or treasured as a special memento.

Our exclusive two-part construction allows the cracker to separate gently, protecting its beautiful design so it can become part of your family's Christmas traditions.

Fill it with thoughtful gifts, handwritten messages, festive treats or treasured keepsakes, then simply slide the two halves apart to reveal the surprises inside. When Christmas is over, refill it for next year, store it as a festive decoration or give it to someone special to enjoy.

Before You Assemble

Your keepsake cracker kit includes:

  • Premium keepsake cracker boards

  • An adjustable paper hat

  • A traditional Christmas joke

  • Luxury grosgrain ribbon, where selected

  • A link to our online assembly instructions

Important: No cracker snaps are required, as our keepsake crackers are not designed to be used with traditional cracker snaps. Snaps work by tearing the cracker apart, which would damage its reusable construction.

Instead, your keepsake cracker opens quietly and easily by loosening the ribbon and gently separating the two sections.

Assembly Instructions

Let's get making...

Each keepsake cracker is made from two sections: an inner barrel and an outer barrel. The section WITH the white copyright information is the outer section and the other section will slide inside this.

Our extra large keepsake cracker has the instructions attached to the inside section of the cracker, which can just be detached before assembly.  On the jumbo cracker, the instructions are on a separate sheet.

Follow these steps to assemble your crackers.

  • Prepare the cracker boards

Gently push out all the small diamond-shaped pieces from the necks of the cracker boards.

  • Crease the boards

Lay each cracker section design-side facing down. Gently fold up along the crease lines to help it form into shape when you assemble it.

  • Form the two halves

Carefully roll each section into a barrel, joining the middle tab into its corresponding slot.

  • Secure with ribbon

Tie ribbon around the neck of each cracker half. Pull the ribbon slowly and gently until the cracker is secure, taking care not to overtighten it.

Finish with a bow or knot, whichever is your vibe...

  • Add the treats inside

Roll the paper hat and joke loosely and slide into the inner section of the board (the one without the small white box on it), so that they expand to the shape of the cracker barrel.   

You will also add your chosen gift or gifts at this stage.

  • Join the two halves

Slide the inner barrel gently into the outer barrel. Your keepsake cracker is now complete!

 

Filling and Enjoying Your Keepsake Cracker

Once assembled, your reusable keepsake cracker is ready to fill and gift to someone to enjoy.

Choosing your gifts: Select thoughtful little presents, festive treats, handwritten messages or keepsakes. Check that your chosen gifts fit comfortably inside the cracker before closing it.  If you miss any, no problem, you can just reopen it and then close it up again - time and time again!

Opening your cracker: Rather than pulling the ends, just gently slide the two halves apart to reveal the contents.

Reusing your cracker: After Christmas, the cracker and its components can be kept together, ready to refill and enjoy next year. Handle it carefully when opening and storing to help preserve its finish.

Creating a coordinated table: Choose complementary gifts, ribbons and place settings to give your Christmas table a beautifully coordinated look.
